From The Front Line of Ashcroft's War on FunAnd for his next trick, Ashcroft will crack down on tie dye shirts and Phish CD's. Does anybody else find this dumb fuck a bit too surreal for words?

Comments This is so fucking bogus. For one, a store that sells bongs doesn't promote drug use, necessairly. If that were true, than stores that sell potatos also promote drug use, since one can make a pipe from a potato.... or any other every-day object for that matter. So instead of putting honest people out of business, why not just let them be?-Laura -Feb 25 2003, 10:05 pm We are talking about John Ashcroft, a man who refers to dancing as "Satan's Palsey". -Max Dobberstein -Feb 26 2003, 09:47 am homepage I'm agreeing with Laura, here. It occurs to me that every supermarket and drug store in America sells tobacco pipes, that, funny thing, could be used to smoke weed. Every drug store in the country sells hypodermic needles, these could be used to inject all sorts of things. They mention "miniature spoons for cocaine use" - I've seen these things. McDonalds used to have a coffee stirrer in a similar shape. Are we going after them. Many cocaine users grow long finger nails so they can use that - are we going to start cutting off people's nails? How about banning Lee Press-On nails? We could kill an entire industry - all those nail shops would go right under! I've seen people roll up $100 bills and snort cocaine - I saw that on the cover of Newsweek when I was a kid. Are we going to go after The U.S. Mint? -Jericho -Feb 26 2003, 11:11 am homepage That raises another point. It would seem that a large percentage of US currency has at least some trace elements of cocaine on it. That means that most people with cash on them are carrying. Thank the maker I'm broke. -Max Dobberstein -Feb 26 2003, 11:16 am homepage That's what I'm saying... when does it all fucking STOP? I really wish pot smokers were a more ambitious bunch. They really need to get off their duffs and vote people like Ashcroft out of office. I can't really talk too much, since I haven't voted in years, but I just may go register soon and join NORML. -Laura -Feb 26 2003, 12:22 pm Features * Archives * Links * Bio * Max * Jericho © 2002 - 2003 by "Max" Dobberstein and "Jericho" Brown |
